cynthia beth rubin's painting lecture

Today, cynthia beth rubin did her lecture. I do influenced a lot. The animation 'français' is my favorite one which you can see on her website. Maybe animation is the language i am more keen on and can feel much more in common.

When she showed her work piece by piece. I can feel the progress she had passed. That is really a value experience. Computer & photoshop for her is the pen to draw her painting and won't limit her creativity.

When my studied computer design in China. Photoshop for me is only the technical tools. I never thought the work did by photoshop can be an art work. Beacuse that is only a tool to me. However, when i listen to her lecture, i saw her work and the progress of doing one piece of work. I really expressed her way of doing the work. She put many her ideas into her work, then the image become very sepcific one only can made by her.

I think maybe that is the difference between BA and MA. Art for the artist is something will follow all of our life.

Reflection of Tutrial

I did the tutrial for Unit 3 with Andy. This tutrial is really helpful. He suggested to keep what i already have and develop more details. Andy also mentioned a film '10 * 10', which shows 10 times zoom in and 10 times zoom out.

I got the clue to develop my work. and i feel that is can be very interesting.

Reflection from an animaion "Crap"

This is an animation made by Wu Junyong. I do keen on the moral the character and his behavior, the relationship between character and goods. I could realize some meanings from the body and behavior of character. That the point where i want to improve my animation.

Elements of experiment

I chose plastic bags, electronic battery, burger box, can, drink bottle,bulb,paper cup/plastic cup ...etc to build up the elements used in my project.

Draft of character

The character in my project is the important part. I am trying to make the character different from other scene. Others of scene is made by products, i only can make the general looking.So the character should be more exquisite.

Mieko suggested me to make the human-being to be blanket.

I was try to make it like specific traditional Chinese portrait.However, that is only looks like ancient person, not really what i want.
